I’m Geri, a wife and mother of three, a passionate traveler, and the founder of Journeys by Geri. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been in love with travel—there’s just something magical about experiencing new cultures, trying different foods (yes, I’m a foodie at heart! 🍽️), and seeing the world through a new lens.
But more than that, I want to make sure everyone—no matter their background or ability—has the opportunity to explore the world freely and confidently. As a Black woman, I know how important it is to show that we travel, too—and we love it. As someone living with Cerebral Palsy, I also understand firsthand the challenges that can come with navigating travel while needing accessibility support.
That’s why I took a leap of faith seven years ago and never looked back. I built Journeys by Geri to create a space where luxury travel is stress-free, seamless, and inclusive for all. My Story – Why I Started This Journey
Travel has always been my passion. I’ve always known I wanted to be a travel agent—it wasn’t just a career choice, it was a calling.
For years, I planned trips for my friends and family for fun, curating unforgettable experiences that allowed them to explore the world stress-free. Then, seven years ago, I took a leap of faith and made my dream a reality.
But beyond the love of travel, I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to help more people of color see the world. I wanted to create a space where travelers—whether they need accessibility accommodations or just want an effortless luxury getaway—know that every detail is thoughtfully handled.
